About

The Afghanistan Perceivers of Oklahoma, the state's only official scion society of the Baker Street Irregulars (the world’s most exclusive and influential Sherlockian group), were founded in 1974 and are based in Tulsa.

The group's name derives from Sherlock Holmes's first words to Dr. John H. Watson when they are introduced to each other in A Study in Scarlet by young Stamford on New Year's Day 1881: "How are you? You have been in Afghanistan, I perceive.”
